i am medical doctor by training and also physically challenged.it took me 8years to be able to study medicine in nigeria despite having all the necessary qualifications.i attended 3 university and 2 which have disciminatory attitude towards the physically challenged.i hope our policy makers will address the issues of disability with a holistic approach and not with mere documents to prove thier seriousness.
in addition i advocate for the creation of a special ministry that will address our plight because i believe if given the right atmosphere and enabling opportunities,several people living with disability will be able to live an independent and purposeful life

I am happy to come across this web site as I try to search for materials on disabilities. I am a Master Degree student of Social Work Department to obtain a Master Degree Certificate in Social Work (MSW). Presently, I am working on my thesis title “Effect of Family Characteristics on the Social Wellbeing of Persons Living with Disabilities in Ibadan metropolis. I am glad you exist in Nigeria. May opportunity comes so that we can work together to see that these set of people are inculcated into the society and being part of the crusade to remove stigmatization in exclussion which is the greatest barrier as being identified through this work. i am a msc degree student of department of nursing maternal and child health speciality university of ibadan.i am writing a research work on reproductive health care of women with disabilities. its a pity i am just seeing this advert. but it is a great idea to know how many people are living with disabilities in this country. they also have rights as we do.

This is so because of the passion of have to
create an impact in people’s life. Moreso,
my thesis is “the effect of family characteristics
and effect of social wellbeing of people living
